Databases
With wide experience in the use of databases for epidemiological analyses and publication, such as GPRD, MediPlus (IMS), a variety of US claims databases plus hospital databases in the UK, Spain and Australia, LWC can provide a fast, effective service in this area. Databases are purchased directly with providers in Europe, the USA and Australia and LWC maintains good partnerships with major providers. Analyses plans are developed in conjunction with in-house statisticians or can be analysed externally. Pricing is according to analyses requirements.

LWC has also liaised with and analysed oncology data within Europe (IARC), the UK (ONS) and the USA (SEER).

Cohorts, registries and client data

• LWC is able to identify international cohorts of patients run by academic groups and liaise for the client.
• Registries e.g. cystic fibrosis, are also evaluated for client use.
• Client data can be handled by LWC for re-structuring and subsequent analyses.
• Small data collection (e.g. 100 patient study) and data entry can also be handled by LWC using sub-contracted CRAs and data entry companies.
